Guys being recorded (info for cam4 male performers)

I thought I would post this alert here, There is a web forum called gay heaven . org and on there is a member called DaDevil who has uploaded hundreds of broadcasts for download. Most of the men he has recorded are from Cam4, many of the videos go as far back as 2011, possibly 2010 but there are some from Chaturbate on there as well. Cam4 are aware of the issue and are due to launch their own investigation very soon, their admin has assured me her lawyer team are on it, but I thought its only right the guys who have been recorded were made aware incase they wanted to take their own course of action. I know Matt Kayd takes action against illegal vids posted of him, well DaDevil has posted several vids of Matt on that forum. I believe I may have a rough idea of what his user name on Cam4 is, what I found interesting while investigating this myself was which guys haven't been recorded, two very popular gay couples and one straight solo guy who have won many cam of the day awards are absent from all the downloads. Which doesn't add up with all the other men who have been recorded. Its a dead giveaway, Its almost like DaDevil has tried to cover his tracks by not uploading the guys whom he has in the Past been moderator for. I need more evidence before I start naming names however so I'll keep posted but I think this has been a fatal flaw in trying to hide his identity. Iain |

So maybe you should read the terms of use before you go hunting down people. It's a fact of life that nothing that comes through the internet is 100% secure. I think your efforts would be better spent reminding performers that their ass and image is CAM4's for the rest of their lives. Same thing with all the other webcam sites. Read the terms, its there in black and white and I think it should be in bright bloody red. It used to say "we may use your shows as a best of cam4 feature" to "we will use your shows as we see fit and you give up any rights to the paid broadcasts of your image. In order to perform at this site you must agree with the terms of use" |

^^ Cam4 don't record, they only take still images every 5 minutes.. as per USA Law. Its just in case a minor is ever on cam and a criminal case comes from it. However you are right, they do use images from broadcasts to promote the website, mainly on Twitter. Its a big difference. Cam4 recording live videos of 2000 live cams at any one time is impossible and would wipe out their bandwidth limit instantly. As for people who record broadcasts without the performers consent just to make a profit, its easy to issue a take down notice, I have done this myself. |

Also all the stills from the broadcasts are posted on there to so it seems they are making money out o the cam4 models, to me it seems that if your on cam4 then don't expect it to stay just on cam4. There are other sites on there as well just be aware what you are doing before you go flashing your bits on cam. |
