I see that dropping the IM notification has generate some talking in the camnotifier community ![]() First thing's first, we are not dropping entirely the IM notification, we are just focusing on those IM providers that can offer a clean API integration. Those IM providers that do not ban IM notification or that do not render camnotifier IM as spam. Telegram is gaining a lot of traction, with clients available for Android, iOS, WP and desktop. Also they offer a clean API integration that is extremely appealing. This will help us in providing a better and stable notification service. Second, we will also introduce SMS notification, with a side note that this service will not be free. A general overall feeling is that we would like to render camnotifier as a stable and reliable service. The next version will be out soon, in approximately a month. The new version won't have any visual impact, only the infrastructure is affected, with changes for extremely stable and reliable notifications. |
