Since 18 Feb 2016, every time one of my monitored cams comes online I get notified but then the "notify" in my account status gets unchecked so I receive no further notifications. Each time I observe this I turn check "notify" again in my preferences but the next time a cam comes online a phantom turns off my notify status.  I've tried running cam notifier on 2 different computers and the same thing happens. What is UN-checking my notify status and why?

This.  Apparently I'm not the only one it's happening to.  Notifications haven't arrived for days and re-enabling them hasn't helped as they immediately switch back off.  Is there a server break or a known problem being handled?  Will Camnotifier's notifier be able to notify again soon?

Hi guys,

This is working as expected. If Amazon AWS is encountering any issue wile sending an email (bounces or complaints) it will notify camnotifier and in return camnotifier will disable notification for that particular email address. This can happen for a number of reasons, one of them being that your email provider is rejecting emails coming from camnotifier.

There are a number of actions you can try:

  • Please use the Send me a test email function located under your account.
  • Try changing your email address and see if the issue is still reproducing.
  • I cannot stress this enough, use the Send me a test email function and if you are not receiving an email, then clearly there is something wrong with your email provider
  • Add [email protected] to your trusted email address list.
  • Check your spam folder
Thank you!
Peter
